Journal to Dreams Is a ‘Highly Commended’ service delivering interventions to children and young people in the education system, Children’s services, Faith groups, youth groups and community organisations. Our objective is to promote wellbeing, emotional intelligence, and a foundational framework to thrive. Journal to Dreams navigate by way of a Multi-systemic methodology working directly within the family environment, community, and education system to promote effective change and a wrap around approach.
Having worked with youth services, children’s services and educational establishments, we understand how important it is to respond to the needs of young people. As a service we actively study and explore current risks and themes that are presented before young people as they navigate through adolescents.
Our services include:
- 1-1 tailored support
- Interactive workshops
- School assemblies
- College lectures
We pride ourselves on delivering services that are interactive and self-reflective, tailored and accessible, trauma informed and safe.
The emotional well being of children and young people is paramount to ensure that they’re able to thrive as they transition to adulthood. Therefore, we provide a number of bespoke workshops delivered both in schools, youth centres and community settings to provide children the opportunity for self-exploration in a safe space. As specialists, we are also able to offer support to establishments regarding how they can uphold continuity of support for pupils and young people. Some of the work shops we have delivered include:
- Consent and healthy relationships
- Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE’s)
- Offending behaviour – Early intervention
- Positive self talk and self confidence
- Careers advice and guidance
- Identity and self perception
- Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
- Emotional regulation
- Domestic abuse

It is imperative that we offer a range of options to meet the needs of young people as not all young people will respond well to group intervention and therefore we offer one-to one holistic support for children and young people utilising therapeutic principles. Although the interventions we deliver would be informed by a needs assessment process, here are some of the areas that we are able to offer support.
- Well-being interventions
- Emotional resilience and intelligence
- Identity and self-perception
- Transitioning to adulthood
- Applying themselves as a young adult
- Applying therapeutic principles to address barriers to moving forward.
- Providing practical support.
- Raising awareness on ACES (adverse childhood experiences)

Journal to Dreams offers schools and college presentations for establishments who want to impact a wider group. Assemblies are 15-20 minute presentations, delivered to a larger cohort of students. This presentation will reflect the establishments ethos and in accordance with the PSHE curriculum.

I have an amazing team of apprentices, and they were fortunate to participate in the “Me First” workshops. I use the word fortunate, as this workshop has been life changing for our apprentices. Pariss was able to give them a new perspective of their personal journeys, by empowering them to truly put themselves first, something I know many of them find difficult to do so. These sessions combined of professional care and expertise would not work without Pariss- her warm and down to earth approach allowed our apprentices to relax and engage to a level I am not sure that they even knew they would! Pariss knows just how make them all feel heard, even in group setting. The energy and positivity from the room after the sessions, showed just how much the sessions meant to them all. Thank you Pariss!

The ‘Me First’ workshop is an inspirational and empowering workshop for young people putting themselves at the centre, encouraging self-discovery and supporting personal development and growth. The feedback from our young people was incredibly positive and they were left wanting more session and feeling more positive about themselves.

I found that the Workshops have made me develop not only emotionally, but psychically and mentally. Both in my working life and in my friendship and family connections. Its not only help me in one aspect of my life, its helped in all sectors of my life.I really appreciate everything Pariss brought to the table for us.
I loved this session because it was amazing to reflect on mental health and how to have a good mindset and learnt how to treat myself better.
