Its 2022
Can we talk about this? Where did this year go? It’s flown! While the year has flown it has been arguably the most intense, heart-breaking, contradictory exciting, awakening year of many we have encountered. The make-or-break year. So, if you’re reading this, I’m so proud of you! You made it to the end of the year!
Now while so many are talking about their highlights (which I absolutely love seeing) making it to the end of this year is a highlight within itself! And this is something I have been imbedding into my clients this year! Because much of what we have encountered in 2021 has been outside of our circle of control.
So, with that being said I wanted to share some of the many lessons I’ve taken away from 2021. And while this year has been one of the most intense, I would say this has been a year of awakening and I’m so thankful for where I have landed as I write this.
2021 Lessons and Reflections
I feared – I learnt that I wouldn’t always overcome my fears when venturing into something that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I learnt to do it anyway. Because change was never going to occur while living the same experiences over and over again. The greatest growth comes from stepping right at the edge of our comfort zone. Did I grow? More than you could ever imagine.
I started over – I learnt that what I thought I wanted, I didn’t actually want after all. I learnt to start over and keep starting over, until what I was doing felt ‘right’ for me. Each time taking a small lesson away from that experience.
I felt – I learnt that being still and sitting with my thoughts was so healthy, I embraced tears when I needed to whether happy or sad as a release of built-up emotions. I learnt to be brutally honest with my emotions, not just with myself but with others. And to be unapologetic.
Creating my own reality – I learnt that I could create my own reality and burn bridges with societal values on how WE should live our lives. Doing passion projects, paying it forward, networking, starting business. I learnt that working a 9-5 wasn’t the ‘only’ option.
Time – I learnt that time was my biggest necessity and I wanted to spend it doing the things I loved. Each day I would ask myself:
‘If anything were to happen tomorrow, would I be happy with the way I lived my life’
At the close of each year, I sit down to write down my ‘goals’ for the coming year. However, I wanted to switch it up a little this year. I’ve created visions for the year describing what I will be doing, how I will feel, who I will be with and how I will look. I would really encourage you to do the same as it creates an intention with a visual representation of how you want your life to look.
2022 Visions
- To touch the lives of more people through workshops, speaking events and 1-1 interventions.
- Releasing more resources and services to support more children, women and families to find their way back home to themselves
- To focus on new experiences as opposed to new items.
- To live in the present moment not pondering on the past or anticipating the future.
- To embrace my feminine energy through body confidence ventures, flowing and following my intuition intently.
- To FLOW, let go of the robust and rigid expectations I have for myself.
Let’s venture this visionary journey together as accountability is EVERYTHING.
Wishing you a very abundant 2022.
With Love,
